One bite at a time!
So, that big whopping kitchen remodel we are attempting has been downsized to a comparatively smaller facelift. I mean even an egomaniacal woman like me can live with a few grey hairs that the chemical rinse didn't catch or some sun lines around the eyes that too much hiking with sunscreen left behind, right? That means the 1970s kitchen won't have granite countertops and new cabinets and hardwood floors but it will look a whole lot better and will have a working dishwasher (and I don't mean me!) and a working stove, which will feel immense luxury at this piont. :)
I am going to post several requests individually and this is the first one. I need help changing out electrical outlets and lightswitches to go from old cream-colored versions to brand new white ones.
Anyone with killer electrical skills that can help with this work would be greatly appreciated!
Given the nature of electrical work, however, I will want to make sure you know what you are doing first before we start yanking out outlets and replacing them - so please take no offense (my dad's an electrical engineer and he would be horrified if his only daughter did not make good on this vetting). I have done some light elecrical work in the past with my dad and I know just enough to be dangerous. ;)
