Learn about trail maintaining
My husband and I are members of the Roanoke Appalachian Trail Club whose members volunteer to maintain sections of the AT.
If you are unfamiliar with the AT it is a Georgia to Maine hiking trail that spans 2,200 miles. Virginia is home to the miles of the trail of any state - nearly 25%!
I am offering a chance for a learning hike - where you can learn some of the trail maintenance skills we use to keep the trails open and hiker-friendly.
The photo is the view that is part of the section we help maintain at Wind Rock in the Mountain Lake Conservancy area.
