About 5 years ago, the term "zero waste" wormed its way into my consciousness. I've been a long-time environmentalist and assumed I was doing really great on that front and probably didn't have much to learn (or change) about my habits. Hoo boy was I wrong! Since then, I have been engaged in an iterative process of "facing my waste" and making lots of changes (some big, some small) to my whole approach as a consumer of STUFF. While I have not achieved a zero waste lifestyle (literally impossible), I am astonished how much room I had to improve - and I have the data to prove it! If you are interested in a totally non-judgy conversation and evaluation of your consumer choices, I bet I can come up with a dozen tailored recommendations for you to set you on your own zero waste journey!!! I think my favorite zero waste quote sums up my approach: "We don't need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly, we need millions of people doing it imperfectly."
