Teaching/supporting me in cleaning off my roof

Hello! I live in a wooded lot and the leaves can really pile up. I want to learn to clean off my roof. I know it won’t be hard, but I’m nervous about getting up there. I also don’t have a ladder that’s tall enough, so that’s a barrier too. I  going to work to get a ladder, but they’re fairly expensive. I would take any help that leads to me feeling I can handle this task independently.
