I am an accountant by training and first took the H&R Block Tax course in the mid-1980's. When they offered me $4.00 an hour, it didn't seem worth my time. I took the course again when I moved from San Francisco to Charlottesville in 2011 thinking I would do it as a second job during tax season. Did that for one season and was not impressed with the H&B Block office and felt guilty about the fee structure and how they take advantage of low-income folks. So I have the training and do my own taxes using TurboTax. I can't do your taxes for you, but I can guide you through the process using whatever software you choose, although I recommend TurboTax which have been using for twenty years.
