In a time when we are giving thanks to our essential workers, I would like to help you write thank you notes to medical workers, grocery stores, garbage collectors, UPS drivers, and all the other important people who are keeping our society running. Do you have a favorite store you've been wanting to thank for staying open during COVID-19? Did you have to go to the doctor recently and want to say thanks to the receptionist, nurses, or doctor?
My dad is 95 and recently moved to assisted living in Minnesota and is in "lock down." The facility doesn't allow any visitors, and meals are served in the residents rooms/apts with the main communal dining halls closed. We talk on the phone almost every day. He likes to send birthday cards to family members, and we recently started sending friendly cards to folks during COVID-19. He dictates and I write on cards, address the envelopes, and I mail them. I put his address as the return address on the envelope, and some folks have written back to him, which is nice. He likes getting friendly uplifting mail (don't we all!). :)
I can mail actual thank you cards to someone for you, or help you draft an email you can send yourself, or write on a card that you can leave for your UPS driver or garbage collector or others. Your choice.
