So I'm a blithering idiot when it comes to thinking up things to do for special occasions for my wife. Our budgets of cash and time are both short right now and we're looking for something fun to do after work on our anniversary. We aren't really into crafty stuff and we don't want anywhere that is super expensive, people say to "treat yourself" but we're both miserable when we do that because we're both cheap. Our first anniversary was spent driving through the desert for 2.5 hours to see the new Mad Max movie in a scummy theatre in Mt. Isa, Queensland, Australia. After that we ate greasy pub food and then drove for 2.5 hours home. We had a ball with that and neither of us can really remember what we did last year.
Here's the deal, if you have an idea for what we should do for our anniversary I will be accepting one page papers on the topic between now and May 29th. Just put how much time you spent thinking up an idea and writing the paper on the bottom of the report and I will get you some sweet sweet time credits.
We both get off work at 5:00 PM that day so it should be an after work plan with dinner involved somewhere. I would say picnic but I'd love to have someone else do the dishes that night. It will be a Wednesday so I'll be coming off my construction job and going to TimeBank the next day. Get creative! I'm from the NRV but having an outsider's perspective would be great so if you feel like you have just moved to the area and have nothing to offer I'd say you should reconsider. Looking forward to hearing what people come up with!
